My Biography
Sister Karen D. Spencer is an African American and a native of St. Louis, Missouri. She is the wife of Brother Larry E. Spencer, her devoted husband of twenty-two years. They have one son Brother Nicholas P. Spencer. Karen has struggled with devastating illnesses for much of her adult life. After being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and seven other diseases, many would lose hope. Instead, Karen turned to God. After being baptized in the name of Jesus and receiving the “gift of the Holy Ghost”, she was able to receive the love of her devoted husband, family, and friends.
The Spencer family are members of the Bethesda Temple Church of the Apostolic Faith where Bishop James A. Johnson, D.D. is their Pastor. Karen is on the Fellowship Committee at her church working with souls and bringing them to know Jesus Christ and be Saved.
Sister Spencer is the founder of Just Walk Ministry. It is a Healing Ministry that allows her to travel around the country teaching Christians and Non-Christians how to develop and strengthen their trust and faith in Jesus Christ. She is also a member of The Christian Sister Organization where she serves as a mentor to young African American girls ages 14-18 teaching them how to dress, act and behave in a Christian manor.
Sister Spencer has been seen on the international church station TCT where she has appeared on the television show TCT Alive.
She is also the host of her weekly radio program Walking by Faith and it can be heard on station 690 AM KSTL every Thursday and streaming online at www.690kstl.com.
